What general cleaning actually covers
General cleaning is the recurring work that keeps a property functioning and presentable: floors, washrooms, pantries, desks, common areas, glass and waste. It is judged by consistency rather than by any single visit — a property is only as clean as its worst week.
That consistency comes from three things: a written scope so everyone knows what is included, a trained team that returns regularly, and a supervisor who checks the work. Where cleaning contracts fail, it is almost always one of those three missing rather than effort.
Office and commercial cleaning contracts
Offices need a rhythm that matches their use. Reception and meeting rooms are seen by visitors and set the impression of the business. Washrooms and pantries are where complaints originate. Desk areas need a light, regular touch rather than occasional heavy cleaning.
We build the schedule around your hours — early morning before staff arrive, evening after they leave, or a daytime presence where reception and washrooms need continuous attention. Most clients take daily or alternate-day cleaning with a periodic deeper clean built into the contract.
Building and common-area cleaning
For residential and commercial towers we cover lobbies, corridors, lifts and lift tracks, staircases, car parks, bin rooms and external entrances. These are the areas residents and tenants judge a building by, and they soil continuously rather than on a schedule.
Building work often runs alongside our specialist services — garbage chute cleaning for odour and hygiene in the waste system, and water tank cleaning for the tanks the building depends on.
Villa, apartment and residential cleaning
Residential cleaning runs weekly or twice weekly for most villas: floors, bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, living areas, internal glass and laundry support where required. Female staff are available on request, and the same team returns each visit so you are not briefing new people repeatedly.
We also provide part-time maids and hourly cleaning for households that need a few hours rather than a full day.
Why staffing is the real difference
Most cleaning complaints in this market trace back to one cause: subcontracted day labour. Different people arrive each visit, nobody has been briefed on the property, there is no supervisor, and the standard swings week to week.
Our cleaners are directly employed by Green Horizon, trained to a documented standard, and assigned to a property with a named supervisor. That is what makes a contract predictable, and it is why clients who have cycled through cheaper providers end up paying slightly more for staff who stay.
Scope, checklists and accountability
Every contract starts with a written scope agreed area by area, with the frequency stated for each task. Some things are every visit, some weekly, some monthly — and writing that down is what prevents the familiar argument about whether something was ever included.
The supervisor inspects against the checklist, and you have a direct contact for anything that falls short. Problems are corrected the same day where possible rather than deferred to the next visit.
General cleaning and deep cleaning together
General cleaning maintains a standard; it does not create one. If a property has been neglected, has just come out of construction, or is changing hands, it needs a reset first — that is deep cleaning, a one-off project with a far wider scope.
The usual pattern is a deep clean to establish the standard, then a general cleaning contract to hold it, with periodic deep cleans built into the schedule. Soft furnishings are handled separately by our carpet cleaning and sofa and upholstery teams, and indoor air quality by AC duct cleaning.
How we price cleaning contracts
We quote a fixed monthly price based on the area, the agreed scope and the visit frequency, after surveying the property. Everything is included — staff, supervision, equipment, chemicals and consumables.
We do not quote contract cleaning without seeing the site. Area alone does not tell you how long a property takes to clean; footfall, floor types, washroom count and access matter as much. An unseen quote is either padded or gets revised upward once work starts, and neither is a good way to begin a contract.
Certification, insurance and compliance
Green Horizon Building Cleaning LLC is Dubai Municipality approved and Trakhees certified for commercial and high-rise work, fully insured, operating since 2007. Staff are directly employed with correct documentation — which matters for any client whose own compliance depends on their contractors.
Areas we cover
We provide general cleaning across all seven emirates — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah — for offices, towers, retail units, clinics, schools, restaurants, warehouses, labour accommodation and private homes.
