When a property needs a deep clean
Most buildings are cleaned regularly and still are not clean. Routine cleaning is built for speed and repetition — floors, worktops, bathrooms, bins, every day or every week. It is not designed to reach inside cabinets, behind appliances, into grout lines, along skirting boards, across ceilings or into the air-conditioning grilles where dust collects for months.
A deep clean is a different job with a different scope. It happens once, it is planned around a date that matters to you, and it resets the property to a standard routine cleaning can then maintain. Green Horizon has been doing this work across the UAE since 2007, for villas and apartments as well as offices, clinics, restaurants, schools and whole buildings.
Post-construction cleaning
Construction dust is the hardest cleaning problem in this market, and the one most often underestimated. It is fine enough to travel through a finished building and settle into every track, hinge, grille and joint. It is also abrasive — wiping it across a new marble floor or a glass panel without the correct method leaves scratches that cost far more to put right than the clean itself.
Post-construction cleaning takes several passes. The first removes bulk dust and debris, protective film, stickers, adhesive residue, paint spots and grout haze. The second cleans every surface properly now that the air has settled. The third is detail work and floor treatment, timed as close to handover as possible. We plan this around your snagging and handover dates, and we are used to returning for a final pass after the last trades leave.
Post-renovation and fit-out cleaning
A renovation inside an occupied building is a harder job than a clean site, because the dust spreads into areas that were never under construction. We seal and clean the work area, then deep clean the surrounding spaces that have taken the fallout — including AC grilles and soft furnishings, which hold fine dust long after the hard surfaces look clean.
Green Horizon also runs its own fit-out and renovation division, so we understand what the trades leave behind and when the clean can realistically start.
Move-in and move-out deep cleaning
Handover cleans are judged against a tenancy agreement, not against appearance. What gets inspected is consistent: inside kitchen cabinets and wardrobes, behind and under appliances, extract hoods and filters, bathroom grout and seals, window tracks, balcony floors and AC grilles.
We clean an empty property wherever possible, because every one of those areas is accessible only once the furniture is out. Landlords, property managers and tenants all use this service, and we provide before-and-after photographs that can be attached to a handover report.
Office and commercial deep cleaning
Offices accumulate differently from homes. Desk clusters, meeting rooms and pantries take heavy daily use, carpets hold soil in traffic lanes long before they look dirty, and partition tops, cable trays and AC grilles are rarely in anyone's routine scope.
We deep clean offices, retail units, clinics, schools and restaurants, normally in the evening, overnight or across a weekend so nobody loses a working day. For restaurants and commercial kitchens, grease removal is specialist work covered by our kitchen exhaust duct cleaning and degreasing service.
Villa and apartment deep cleaning
Villas in the UAE collect dust at a rate that surprises people who have moved here from cooler climates. Fine sand enters through windows, doors and the air-conditioning system continuously, and it settles above eye level — on top of wardrobes and kitchen units, on curtain rails, in light fittings and across ceiling corners.
A residential deep clean covers the whole property from ceiling to floor, including inside kitchen cabinets and appliances, full bathroom descaling, internal glass, and floor treatment matched to the material. Female staff are available on request.
What we clean, in detail
Every quote is written against a scope agreed at the survey, so there is no argument afterwards about what was included. A standard deep clean covers:
- High level: ceilings, cornices, light fittings, AC grilles and diffusers, tops of wardrobes, cupboards and partitions
- Walls and joinery: walls, skirting boards, doors, frames, handles, switch plates and sockets
- Kitchens: inside and outside all cabinets, worktops, splashbacks, sinks, taps, and degreasing of hobs, ovens, extract hoods and filters
- Bathrooms: descaling of tiles, grout, glass screens, taps and shower heads; sanitising of WCs, basins and bathtubs; seals and silicone checked
- Floors: scrubbing, stain treatment and polishing matched to marble, ceramic, vinyl, wood or carpet
- Glass: internal glass, mirrors, window frames, tracks and reachable external glazing
- Finish: disinfection of all high-touch surfaces and a joint inspection before handover
Equipment and products
Deep cleaning results come from the method and the machine, not from effort. Our teams carry floor scrubbers and polishers, hot-water extraction machines for carpets and upholstery, steam equipment for grout and sanitising, and HEPA-filtered vacuums for construction dust so the fine particles are captured rather than redistributed into the air.
Products are eco-friendly and approved for residential and commercial use, with food-safe products in kitchens and food preparation areas. Floor treatments are chosen by material — the wrong chemical on natural stone causes permanent damage, which is why we record floor types at the survey.
Deep cleaning alongside your other services
A deep clean is often the right moment to deal with the things behind the surfaces, while the property is empty and accessible. Clients commonly combine it with AC duct cleaning, because cleaned rooms recontaminate quickly if the ductwork is still full of dust, and with water tank cleaning before a new tenant moves in.
Soft furnishings are handled as their own specialist work by our carpet cleaning and sofa and upholstery cleaning teams, and we also provide ongoing general cleaning once the deep clean has reset the property.
How we price deep cleaning
We quote a fixed price against a written scope after seeing the property. Price depends on size, condition, floor types, how much high-level access is involved and whether the property is empty or occupied — not on a per-hour rate that leaves the final cost open.
We do not quote deep cleaning blind over the phone. A property that has just come out of construction and one that simply needs a seasonal reset are entirely different jobs, and an unseen quote is either padded or wrong. The survey is free and carries no obligation.
Certification and compliance
Green Horizon Building Cleaning LLC is Dubai Municipality approved and Trakhees certified for high-rise and commercial work, with full insurance for commercial sites. Our teams are directly employed, trained and supervised — we do not subcontract deep cleaning to day labour, which is the usual reason results vary between visits.
Areas we cover
We work across all seven emirates — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah — for villas, apartments, towers, offices, retail units, clinics, schools, restaurants, warehouses and labour accommodation.
